Building Isolyne, a Safety Net for Fast-Moving Development Teams
In the high-pressure environment of a hackathon, development teams rarely fail because they lack technical skills or can't write the code. They fail because of "decision drift." This happens when two teammates quietly begin operating under completely different assumptions about the architecture, the scope, or who owns what. You don't realize you're building incompatible things until hour 28, when it's too late to fix.
For my #shipaton 2026 entry, I am building Isolyne—a coordination safety net designed specifically for fast-moving teams. Isolyne observes the team’s shared reality and stays completely silent when things are aligned. It only interrupts in plain English the exact moment a critical divergence is detected.
