Beyerdynamic Aventho Y review: I want to love these wireless headphones, but poor sound dulls their shine
The Beyerdynamic Aventho Y know exactly what their own “why” is: to give you the best, most self-expressive out-and-about listening experience a relatively small budget can buy. And they meet the terms of that “why” quite impressively, with a cut-through sonic profile, solid ANC and a bonkers battery life to boot. But that sonic profile crumbles under scrutiny, revealing lacklustre bass and barely-there dynamics when there’s nothing else to compensate for. The Aventho Y don’t quite cut the mustard for at-home or hi-res listening; a real shame for a promising pair of affordable headphones.
