Back-to-school season is closer than you think, and you've probably noticed that tech companies are raising prices on devices like smartphones and laptops. The ongoing RAM shortage is increasing demand for memory chips, leading to higher device prices.

One way students and teachers can curtail that cost is to buy from retailers that offer student or educational discounts. Major retailers, like Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart, all offer to help students save on new tech and cut costs year-round. Here's a list.
