AT&T's Unlimited Phone Plans Changed in 2026. Here's What You Get for Your Money

Are you the type that doesn't check their phone bill every month? Now is a good time to take a fresh look. AT&T has almost completely revamped its unlimitedphone plans this year, overhauling them with 2.0 versions and introducing a new modular option for new customers who want just the basics (now including a home internet option).

Maybe it's shaking things up because the company celebrated its 150th birthday -- or it wants to stay competitive with all the other cell phone plans out there.

These plans replace the AT&T Value Plus VL, Unlimited Extra EL and Unlimited Premium PL plans. The carrier also removed its Unlimited Starter SL plan, which served as the entry-level plan (you had to know where to look to find the limited, but cheaper, Value Plus VL plan).
