Arduino's Zephyr RTOS-Based Cores Exit Beta, With "Legacy" Mbed Cores to be Deprecated
The Arduino Core on Zephyr, which replaces the earlier Mbed-based cores owing to Arm's closure of the platform, is officially out of beta — though the company's isn't quite ready to formalize it as a 1.0 release just yet.
"We are thrilled to announce the release of version 0.90.0 of the ArduinoCore-zephyr," the Arduino team announced this week, as the multi-year porting project comes of age. "This is a major milestone: we are officially exiting the beta phase and marking the core as stable. Achieving this goal is the culmination of months of testing, architectural refinement, and community feedback."
