Dive Brief:
- Accenture rolled out a Gemini Enterprise business group with the goal of adding 1,000 forward deployed engineers to help clients overcome AI adoption hurdles, the consulting firm and global systems integrator said in a Tuesday announcement.
- The new unit sits within Accenture’s larger Google Business Group, which currently has nearly 50,000 professionals trained in the hyperscaler’s technology. The company aims to have 20,000 Google Cloud certified individuals in the next year, in addition to the FDEs, according to Gemini Enterprise Business Group Lead Chetna Sehgal.
- “Enterprises need true value from AI — and they’re stuck,” Sehgal told Channel Dive. “They’re under pressure to deploy agentic AI at production scale, and they need architecture, the governance and co-engineered solutions.”
