Zepto Leads LinkedIn's 2026 List as New Startups Gain Ground

LinkedIn's 2026 Top Startups India list, released on October 14, places quick-commerce platform Zepto in the first position, followed by topmate.io in second and social brain-gaming startup Matiks in third. Four of the top five companies have made it to the list for the first time, showing how newer startups are gaining attention among professionals.

Zepto has retained the top spot in LinkedIn's startup rankings for the fourth consecutive year. With 13 new entrants among the top 20, India's emerging startup landscape is showing a different mix of businesses competing for talent.

The rankings reveals about the continued appeal of quick commerce alongside the growing presence of artificial intelligence (AI), gaming, education and expertise-led businesses.

However, attracting talent and professional attention does not necessarily translate into sustainable business growth, making long-term viability an important factor beyond the rankings.
