You Can Reset the iPhone Duo's Crease For Just $19

When Apple announced the iPhone Duo last month, we learned it includes a nano-texture cover layer over the OLED folding display to reduce the visible screen crease as the device ages. That's nice, but what's even nicer is that this layer is apparently replaceable.

Apple says the nano-texture cover layer can wear over time. While the brand is still very proud of the Duo's foldable display, it's ensured that any long-term creases can be removed with a partial screen replacement. For $19, Apple will replace the nano-texture layer, refreshing the surface finish and reducing the crease's appearance.

The catch, of course, is that you must have AppleCare+ to get the fix for $19. Available reports don't provide a price for customers without AppleCare+ coverage, but I wouldn't expect it to be cheap.
