Xbox Series X25 Sells Out in Seconds as Scalpers Triple the Console's Price
The Xbox Series X25, the 25th‑anniversary edition of Microsoft's Xbox Series X, sold out within minutes on Thursday. Not surprisingly, many of those units appeared on resale platforms at steep markups immediately after Microsoft ran out of stock.
This limited-edition console comes in a semi-translucent "OG Green" and includes a matching controller and a digital copy of Halo: Campaign Evolved. Microsoft priced the package at $899.99 in the United States.
Preorders began with an invite‑only window for select fans on Wednesday, August 26, followed by a general sale the next day at 10 a.m. EDT. In mere minutes, the bundle was out of stock on Microsoft's store and other e-commerce websites, Windows Central reports.
