With stunning visuals and engaging and addictive action, Final Fantasy Resonance is a must-have for any Nintendo Switch 2 owner or fan of tactical turn-based combat.
I’ve played tens of hours of Final Fantasy Resonance, and it’s easily among the best games I’ve played this year — a must-have for any Nintendo Switch 2 owner, especially fans of tactical turn-based combat. Its visuals are stunning, the gameplay is engaging and moreish, and Visions are an interesting (albeit occasionally flawed) alternative to the classic Jobs system. The story won’t win any prizes for uniqueness, but frankly it’s still a fun adventure to watch unfold even if it is predictable — and I wish I could be playing more instead of writing this review.

- +In-depth turn-based combat mechanics
- +Good amount of challenge
