What sets the most confident supply chain leaders apart?

Supply chain leaders’ confidence has dropped. Between Blue Yonder’s 2026 and 2025 Supply Chain Compass reports, leaders’ sense of readiness slipped, with only 66% of the 678 leaders surveyed saying their supply chains were prepared for the future, down from 73% in 2025.

It’s not hard to see why.

There are, of course, the usual suspects - demand and supply volatility, tariffs, and regulation. Those are now heightened by the conflict in the Middle East, regional route closures, and the threat of military strikes on infrastructure. This has led to a significant uptick in the number of disruptions companies need to navigate on an almost-weekly basis. Add to that the sheer speed of technological change driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation, and it’s no surprise that many leaders feel overwhelmed.

Yet, even against these odds, some supply chain leaders are standing tall and driving profitability and growth.
