What If Your Prompt Could Feed Someone a Strawberry?
Both parties are fighting over whether to build the box. Neither is asking what the box does with what it makes.
Every prompt you type ends as heat. The tokens stream back, the answer appears, and somewhere in a windowless building, a rack of GPUs has turned a few joules of electricity into a few joules of warmth, which a chiller then spends more electricity to throw into the sky. Multiply that by every query, every training run, every agent loop running overnight, and the AI boom is, thermodynamically, one of the largest heating projects in human history. Almost none of it heats anything.
