What If Satoshi Nakamoto Came Back Tomorrow?
Likely, everyone in the crypto space would like to know the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, Bitcoin’s mysterious creator. We know very little about him (them?), though. In a minuscule bio on his P2P Foundation profile, he shared that he was Japanese, born on April 5, 1975. Of course, we all doubt the certainty of this data, but if true, he’d only be 51 years old right now. Nakamoto could come back tomorrow, if he’s alive, if he wanted to.
Although it must be said that this is probably not his intention in the slightest. Fifteen years ago, in April 2011, he sent his last message to another Bitcoin developer, and handed Bitcoin code and domains to the open-source community. According to that email, he had “moved on to other things. [Bitcoin is] in good hands with Gavin [Andresen] and everyone.”
