What Happens to Your Data After You Hit Allow
The privacy conversation tends to stop at the moment someone taps allow. A person grants an app access to their location so it can find nearby stores, and the interaction feels complete right there. The more interesting question sits on the other side of that tap, in what happens to the data once it has served its stated purpose.
Permission is only the entry point
Consumers are trained to check whether an app asks for permission before it collects something, and far less attention goes to what happens to that information once it sits inside the company's systems. It might get discarded once the feature no longer needs it, stored for later, combined with other data the company already holds, or passed along to a service provider or advertising partner. The original permission prompt settles none of that.
