Wait! Keep That Old Camera and Hack It to Take Amazing Photos Like These
My trusty Canon 6D is now over 14 years old and it's been an admirable photographic companion in that time. But it's since been replaced by multiple generations, including my more recent Canon EOS R5 (not to mention my $8,000 Leica), meaning the 6D has spent a lot of its later life on a shelf. Sad violins.
I considered selling it, as buying and selling cameras on the used market is a great way of saving some cash, but I'd get so little for it it that it didn't seem worth it. Then I had a different idea to give this old workhorse a new lease on life: Convert it to shoot images in infrared.
