Valve Drops 3D Print Files To Build Custom E Ink Steam Machine Faceplates
Shortly after Steam Machine was revealed, word of an E Ink front panel for Steam Machine was confirmed by Valve as an internal project not intended for consumer release. Even so, Valve did follow up with 3D print files for Steam Machine front panels, includes two extra swappable panels with the high-end model, and recently open-sourced info & instructions for making your own E Ink panel.
While JSAUX has announced plans to sell a completed E Ink front panel for Steam Machine (pictured above,) we still don't have a finalized release date beyond promises that it will arrive this year. Those who don't want to DIY project will be waiting an uncertain amount of time before buying it off Amazon (like other JSAUX products) will become an option.
Final pricing on the JSAUX E Ink panel also remains unknown, but the total cost of the DIY components...
