Unitree shows off its new Superman robot that it says can outrun Usain Bolt and jump 6.5 feet

What just happened? It's not just rogue AI agents we have to worry about. Humanoid robots that once staggered around like drunks now appear able to run faster and jump higher than any human. Unitree says its new "Superman" robot can reach a top speed of 28.3 miles per hour, faster than Usain Bolt. The company has also released a video showing off those feats.
Unitree claims the prototype, which has 0.85-meter-long (2.7-foot) legs, can clear a 2-meter (6.5-foot) standing high jump and reach 12.66 meters per second. That narrowly exceeds the widely cited 12.42 m/s peak Bolt hit during his world-record 9.58-second 100-meter run in Berlin in 2009.
