UIDAI Data Hackathon 2026 Highlights Innovative Data Solutions for Inclusive Governance
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has concluded the UIDAI Data Hackathon 2026, celebrating student-led innovations focused on digital identity and improved public service delivery through data-driven governance solutions.
Organised to encourage innovative and responsible use of digital identity data, the hackathon offered students and young professionals an opportunity to create scalable solutions aimed at strengthening inclusion, governance efficiency, and service delivery outcomes.
The initiative received a massive response, with close to 15,000 teams registering and over 5,000 teams submitting entries, making it one of the largest data innovation challenges within the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) ecosystem.
The competition involved a multi-stage evaluation process, including screening more than 5,000 submissions, shortlisting 30 projects, and detailed assessment of 15 finalist teams. The top five teams were invited to present their projects during the final event.
