You ask most CFOs, 'Well are you using it?’, and they say, 'No, but I'm paying for it!’

Now, that’s a sentiment with which I’ve been all too familiar over the past few months when talking to end user organizations about AI, but it’s interesting to hear it from the mouth of Bill Patterson, EVP of Corporate Strategy at that most evangelical of AI enthusiasts, Salesforce.

But candor is commonplace with Patterson as I’ve noted over the past few years. So it is that he can admit:

When I listen to my customers right now, there's a lot of brewing sentiment around of, 'Is this all going to pay off somewhere?’

He goes on:

Adoption has been super-impressive, and we all have these new tools impacting our lives, impacting our jobs, impacting our work. It is all leading to a lot of use.
