This Modded Multimeter Streams Its Screen Straight to Your Browser

Most multimeter displays are pretty basic, but they tell you everything you need to know. However, it’s not easy to share that information with others — especially if you are trying to include it in a video of your latest electronics project. Glare, awkward viewing angles, and constantly changing camera focus can make those readings difficult for viewers to follow.

YouTuber Bits und Bolts was fed up with these problems, so he created a multimeter called AirMeter that wirelessly transmits the data on its display to a remote receiver. He used this setup to stream measurements to a web browser and OBS Studio, recreating the instrument's screen in real time without relying on any proprietary software.
