This Guy Built a Working Mazda Suitcase Car

The automotive industry is incredibly stuffy and risk-adverse, but concept cars give automakers a chance to let their hair down. They’re about ideas and showcasing new technology, without the limitations of practicality and economics. So, we’ve seen many legendary concept cars, like the bubble-domed Lincoln Futura and the V-10-powered Dodge Tomahawk motorcycle thing (hey, it had four wheels). The boys at the Bucket YouTube channel wanted something even more special and had to build it themselves: the Mazda Suitcase Car.

The Mazda Suitcase Car was a 1991 concept from Toyota. Just kidding, it was from Mazda, of course. It was a tiny little go-cart contraption powered by a 33.9cc two-stroke engine making a whopping 1.7 horsepower. The entire thing weighed about 71 pounds and could reach speeds of around 19mph.
