These smart glasses have been recalled for overheating temples causing burns

A company called Inmo that makes several different variations of smart glasses has issued a recall for its Air3 because the left temple “can overheat during extended use, posing a risk of serious injury or death due to burn hazard.” To date there have been 10 reports of users experiencing a “burning sensation to the face and the left side of the ear” while using the Air3, according to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The recall includes over 1,600 Air3 glasses sold in the US and Canada between December 2025 and August 2026 through the company’s website, Amazon, and a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for between $900 and $1,300. The glasses can be identified by their black frames...
