The US Government's New AI Chatbot Gives Minecraft's End Poem A Bureaucratic Twist
It combines all of AI's strengths including plagiarizing, lying and being unintentionally funny.

The US government's new chatbot just demonstrated AI's ability to plagiarize, lie and be unintentionally hilarious. Bluesky user @eva.computer discovered that if you type "Play Minecraft" into America.gov's prompt, it will give you the Minecraft End Poem, but with the words transformed into a bureaucracy-tinged remix. Then, it will deny even writing the poem.
If you're not familiar with the Minecraft End Poem, it's a sweeping (some might say rambling) piece of philosophical prose meant to give the player something fun and inspiring after completing the game. Here's a small sample:
and the universe said you are not alone
and the universe said you are not separate from every other thing
and the universe said you are the universe tasting itself, talking to itself, reading its own code
and the universe said I love you...
