The robot that sweeps the car park is also watching it. Viabot’s $24m round calls that soft security.

Viabot has raised a $24m Series A led by Walden International, bringing total funding to $43m for its autonomous outdoor sweeping robot. The same machine runs what the company calls soft security, using its navigation sensors to detect loitering and trespassing across retail, campus, healthcare and office sites, with staff monitoring alerts around the clock. The litter statistics underpinning the market case are superseded: Keep America Beautiful’s May 2026 study finds litter down 34% since 2020.

Viabot has raised a $24m Series A led by Walden International, with CDIB Capital and Stalwart Ventures joining existing backers Baseline Ventures, ERA Ventures, Morado Ventures and SOSV. The Santa Clara company has now raised $43m in total.

Its flagship machine, the Viabot One, sweeps debris from large commercial properties and services 25 million square feet. It is sold as robotics-as-a-service rather than as equipment.
