The Next AI Infrastructure Problem Is Not Intelligence. It Is Continuity.
The next serious test for AI will not be whether a system can produce an impressive answer in a single moment. The harder test will be whether that system can preserve identity, authority, provenance, decision lineage, and behavioral coherence after the conditions around it change. Intelligent systems are moving into environments where continuity matters as much as capability because trust depends on what remains stable across time, not only on what the system can generate today.
Most public discussion about AI still centers on intelligence, speed, automation, and model performance. Those concerns are important, but they do not fully explain what happens when intelligent systems are placed inside workflows that evolve, retrain, migrate, scale, and shift across institutional boundaries. The more AI becomes embedded in serious environments, the more important it becomes to ask whether the system can preserve coherence beyond the original moment of output.
