The new Google Pixel Watch 5 packs super-accurate GPS — but there are no revolutionary changes here

The Google Pixel Watch 5 is the definition of an iterative upgrade. It’s a smartwatch of high quality and tons of features, but there are very few reasons for anyone with a Pixel Watch 3 or 4 to upgrade this year. For new adopters, it’s the best Android watch yet, but those not keen on Google’s over-reliance on its Gemini AI may want to skip.

  • +Repairable teardrop design is very strong

  • -Battery life still very short
  • -On-wrist Gemini isn’t truly agentic yet
