The Maker’s Toolbox: xTool M2 Laser Machine Review
The market for hobbyist and prosumer laser machines is really competitive right now, which means manufacturers are hustling to release models with exciting new features. The new M2 from xTool is a great example with a lot to offer — including one very unique feature that surprised me. In this review, I’ll go over those features and help you decide if they make the xTool M2 the right laser machine for your shop.
Market positioning
The M2 is the newest model in xTool’s hobbyist-focused line of gantry diode laser models, replacing the M1. It isn’t as powerful as the xTool S1 equipped with a 40W laser and it has a bit smaller working area, but otherwise it isn’t really a “downgrade.” In fact, the M2 has a lot of features that will make it more desirable than the S1 to many of you.
