The LoRa Alliance Adds New Specifications for Easier Provisioning of LoRaWAN IoT Nodes
The LoRa Alliance, the not-for-profit responsible for stewardship of the LoRaWAN long-range low-power wide-area network radio standard, has announced the release of two new specifications designed to deliver easier device provisioning.
"Every manual step in provisioning a new device, and every location a gateway can't economically reach, creates friction that slows IoT [Internet of Things] deployments from reaching scale," says LoRa Alliance chief executive officer Alper Yegin in support of the two new specifications and a supporting technical guidance document. "TS014, TS018, and TR016 solve this. That's what makes LoRaWAN dependable enough to run the infrastructure the physical world depends on, and to keep growing at the pace it has."
