The ESP32 Bit Pirate Project Gets In-Browser Web App Support, LoRa Mode — And Promises More to Come
The ESP32 Bit Pirate project, an effort by pseudonymous developer "Geo TP" to turn Espressif ESP32-powered devices into Dangerous Prototypes' Bus Pirate-style debugging and development devices, is now usable from the browser — and its developer has plans for a "broader ecosystem" to come.
"ESP32 Bit Pirate turns compatible ESP32 boards into a practical multi-protocol workbench for electronics learning, firmware exploration, debugging, and repeatable hardware tests," Geo TP explains of the project. "The Bit Pirate firmware is complemented by scripting, hardware dock, extension, adapters, browser tools, documentation, and practical embedded workflows to enable comprehensive hardware debugging and development with serial interfaces or Wi-Fi connectivity."
