At ASUG Tech Connect 2026, SAP users had their say - and the contrast was instructive.
I've attended ASUG Tech Connect since its inception. Intended as a companion event to SAP's Global TechEds, ASUG Tech Connect gives SAP leaders, enterprise architects and fellow travelers a chance to hash out SAP's tech advancements, the business cases, and the grit of organizational change.
When it comes to agentic technology, there remains a persistent gap between vendor keynotes and where most customers are at. Of course, that's because a proper agentic deployment needs a sophisticated data, process, governance and (human) skills backbone - which many organizations lack.
Was that gap in evidence at ASUG Tech Connect? Definitely - but only to a point. I also see a gap in emphasis - across vendors. Customers prioritize issues differently than vendor...
