Tesla's Cybertruck Faces Yet Another Recall Following Complaints About Wheels Falling Off
Another day, another issue with Tesla’s Cybertruck. The blocky, stainless steel truck is facing a fresh recall, warning that some trucks risk losing their wheels on the road. Regulators say a defect in the brake rotors on 173 Cybertrucks with 18‑inch steel wheels could cause cracks around the stud holes, which may lead the studs to separate and allow a wheel to detach, our Mashable colleagues report.
Tesla will replace affected rotors, hubs, and lug nuts at no cost to owners. Thankfully, the company has not logged any crashes or injuries tied to this issue so far.
The recall follows a plethora of earlier Cybertruck problems that have already raised questions about quality control.
