G.Skill and Kingston Both Hit 12,000 MT/s DDR5 Speeds on Intel Arrow Lake
extremetech.comNow that Intel's all-new Core Ultra 200 series CPUs are out in the wild, it's time for the overclocking wars to commence in earnest. First out of the gate are memory companies G.Skill and Kingston, which are both touting DDR5 memory overclocking to 12,000 MT/s and beyond—which is almost twice as fast as the officially supported speeds on the new Intel platform.
Both companies seem to have eclipsed the 12,000 MT/s barrier at roughly the same time, as Intel's new CPUs launched on Thursday, and the news was announced today (Friday). G.Skill's announcement notes four separate overclockers used its memory to go beyond 12,000 MT/s, and they all used liquid nitrogen cooling to get there. The highest memory speed in the group was DDR5-12066, which was achieved using G.Skill Trident Z5 sticks. The press release does ...
