Takamori Robot's HIRO Is a Second-Generation Raspberry Pi Pico 2-Powered DIY Robot Kit
Joseph Casebeer, founder of Takamori Robot, has launched a crowdfunding campaign for an educational spider-like quadrupedal robot kit powered by the Raspberry Pi Pico 2: the H.I.R.O Model TR-01-A Standard Edition, hereafter known simply as HIRO.
"[HIRO is] a Raspberry Pi Pico-based robotics platform by Takamori Robot," Casebeer explains of his creation. "A robot that is yours! A robot you assemble yourself! A robot you wire yourself! A robot you customize yourself! You decide what software runs on it! You have the complete right to repair it yourself!
This isn't the first HIRO robot Casebeer has designed: it's an evolutionary upgrade to what is now known as the HIRO First Generation Edition, for which Takamori Robot already ran a successful crowdfunding campaign.
