Sony has officially expanded its professional audio ecosystem with the unveiling of the Sony IER-M500 in-ear monitors (IEMs). Tailored specifically for gigging artists, amateur musicians, and touring monitor engineers, the new wired earphones target live stage monitoring performance without the high price tag traditionally associated with custom-molded setups.
Engineered for Stage Performance and High Passive Isolation
Developed in close collaboration with professional industry tour engineers, the IER-M500 aims to deliver high-fidelity audio accuracy within volatile, high-decibel concert environments. The monitors feature a completely sealed internal acoustic structure built to passively block out heavy stage bleed, guitar feedback, and ambient crowd noise. This protective isolation layer significantly minimizes the need for performers to crank up system volumes, protecting long-term hearing during extended sets.
