Something for the weekend - who gets to spend the AI half-hours?
I am in a deep philosophical funk.
And it’s all because of a seemingly innocuous question during a recent panel I moderated at OutSystems One.
Because while I pride myself on thinking deeply about the operating model implications of AI, the future of AI-augmented business, the future of work, the future of the future…
Well, anyway.
The irritating thing was that the question was stupidly simple — but as profound, in its own way, as any of my million-word articles.
Which was not only disturbing but annoying.
Because at one point during the discussion, Stijn Stabel, VP of Data and AI at TVH, asked:
If someone’s being half an hour faster at whatever work they’re doing, where are they spending that half hour?
I mean, it’s a good question — but it also begs a deeper one.
What will they spend that half-hour on?
And I realized that that, right...
