SolarWinds has appointed Justin Henkel as CISO, pointing out how enterprises are strengthening cyber resilience and security governance as AI adoption grows.

The appointment comes as enterprises rethink their security strategies in response to a rapidly evolving threat landscape. The growing use of AI tools, automation, and hybrid IT environments has expanded the attack surface, making cyber resilience a strategic business issue rather than solely a technology concern.

Henkel brings more than two decades of experience spanning military intelligence, cyber threat intelligence, enterprise risk, and security operations.

Before joining SolarWinds, he spent nearly five years at OneTrust, where he progressed from head of the CISO Center of Excellence to deputy CISO. His work focused on enterprise risk management, operational resilience, and security operations. He also served as an intelligence officer in the United States Air Force and held cybersecurity leadership positions at CME Group and iSIGHT Partners.
