If you wanted to buy an RTX 5090 and you haven't yet, I'm afraid you've missed your chance. With standard models now priced over $9,000 and special editions hitting $12,000, it's time to wave farewell to the fastest gaming graphics card ever made. It was never meant for us anyway.
When the RTX 5090 launched with a $2,000 MSRP and quickly shot past that in 2025, it was already clear this was a Titan-tier card in everything but name. Vastly more powerful than its 50-series companion, the RTX 5080, and already double the price, the Blackwell flagship card was never really meant for gamers. Its incredible AI performance and 32GB of VRAM were obvious indicators of that.
