Snapchat has introduced Snapchat Plans, a dedicated suite of event-coordination features designed to help users organize, invite, and manage real-world meetups directly inside the messaging platform. The update aims to reduce reliance on third-party scheduling platforms and group SMS threads by streamlining casual group planning into a single native workflow.
The core functionality lets organizers build event cards with essential details—including titles, dates, times, location tags, and optional custom descriptions. To customize each invitation, organizers can attach personalized Bitmoji header artwork reflecting the theme of the gathering, from birthday celebrations to study groups or casual dinners.
Invitations can be dispatched directly to individual friends or group chats, supporting events for up to 200 participants. Recipients can respond with RSVPs directly inside the chat interface without switching apps or opening external links.
