SMSFAST Expands Developer Access to Its SMS Verification API

REST API gives engineering teams on-demand virtual numbers across more than 500 platforms, cutting the manual work of testing one-time-password flows

SMSFAST, an online service that provides temporary virtual phone numbers for receiving SMS verification codes, has expanded developer access to its REST API, giving engineering teams a way to pull virtual numbers on demand and automate the testing of SMS and one-time-password flows across more than 500 platforms.

Verification testing is one of the slower jobs in software development. Teams building sign-up, login and two-factor features often check them by hand, buying or borrowing numbers and typing in codes one at a time. SMSFAST said its API removes that step by letting a script request a number, receive the incoming message and confirm the flow worked, with no person in the loop.
