Whatever the reason, we all love miniatures. Glen Akins has just miniaturized one of the most mundane of everyday objects — a traffic barrel. But unlike the ones lining construction sites, you won’t be able to take your eyes off this one.
That’s because this isn't just a scaled-down prop sitting on a shelf. Each 3D-printed barrel includes a fully functional warning beacon that flashes just like the real thing, complete with custom electronics hidden inside. Better yet, Akins didn't stop after building one. He built an entire fleet, creating a desktop construction zone populated with tiny battery-powered barrels whose blinking lights slowly drift in and out of sync, just as they do along real...
