Siri AI Will Have Deep Integration With ChatGPT and Claude Models, Leaked Build Shows

Apple is putting a lot of effort into making Siri AI the next big thing in its product ecosystem, and its recent Surprise and Shine event made it clear that the revamped voice assistant will be positioned as one of the key selling points of the new iPhone 18 Pro.

But apparently the tech giant isn’t wresting its hardware out of competitors’ hands, according to an X post from pdfu, who routinely leaks upcoming iOS and MacOS code. Instead, according to the post, Apple’s AI will feature deep integration with third-party models, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude, with an option to entirely replace Siri with certain GPT models as the on-device agent of choice.

Representatives for Apple, OpenAI and Anthropic didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
