With all the hype around humanoid machines, physical AI, and robots such as Figure’s 03, Tesla’s Optimus, Unitree’s G1, 1X’s NEO, and Boston Dynamics’ Atlas, it is easy to assume that we are basking in a golden Summer for robotics.
In reality, it is more like the early days of a promising Springtime for the technology. Robotics may be attracting marketers’ eyeballs and investors’ cash, but it may also frustrate their desire for rapid payback. As explained in previous robotics reports, the last things this sector needs are hype and impatient capital.
