Internet of Things (IoT) and industrial automation specialist Sfera Labs has announced a new Raspberry Pi 4- or 5-powered edge server system, designed for DIN-rail mounting and packing a Raspberry Pi RP2354 as a real-time coprocessor: the Strato Pi Plus.

"Sfera Labs has begun shipping Strato Pi Plus, a hybrid industrial edge server that combines the Raspberry Pi 4 [Model] B or 5 with a dedicated RP2354 co-processor in a compact four-module DIN-rail enclosure," Sfera Labs says of its latest launch. "The device solves a problem that has long frustrated industrial automation engineers: how to deploy a Linux single-board computer in the field while keeping the reliability guarantees that industrial applications demand."
