Vantage Towers is a pan-European tower company - building, operating and owning the digital infrastructure that mobile phone operators rely on to deliver connectivity across the continent. With 88,000 locations across eight markets and only 800 employees, Vantage Towers is a business of enormous transactional complexity, managed by a lean organisation. Its customers are the operators - Telecom, Vodafone and others - but underpinning every site is a relationship with a landlord, of which Vantage Towers has approximately 55,000 in its portfolio.

At ServiceNow Knowledge 2026, I spoke with Tobias Steinig, Chief Digital Officer at the company, to understand what drove Vantage Towers to rebuild its entire landlord engagement model on ServiceNow - and to better understand how it approached digitizing thousands of complex relationships.
