Securing a Real Time Social Map: The Trust Architecture Behind Beamrove
Beamrove brings nearby people, moments connected to places, and plans people can join into one live social map.
That simple description carries a serious technical responsibility. The product works with identity, relationships, conversations, media, social intent, and location. Some of that information changes in real time. Some of it should exist only briefly. Some of it should be visible to one group of people and completely unavailable to another.
For that reason, I never saw security as a feature that could be attached to Beamrove near launch. It had to shape the architecture itself.
Trust has a scope
Beamrove includes a mobile application, APIs, real time connections, data storage, media systems, and cloud services. Each layer has a defined responsibility. Each layer also verifies the information and authority it receives from another layer.
A valid session identifies the user. Permission to perform an action is a separate decision.
