Valve's 2026 Steam Controller contains one of pop culture's most recognizable sound gags: the Wilhelm scream. Early buyers and professional reviewers say the controller emits the classic "scream" sound when dropped under specific conditions. Tests show the Easter egg triggers when the controller is active and connected to a PC running Steam in Big Picture mode.
