Most quadrupedal robots are loaded with motors, sensors, wires, and other components that make them difficult to build and maintain. ZeroWire Robotics is trying to make things easier with its palm-sized quadruped named Q8botOne. We've been waiting for this little robot for some time, and it has finally landed on Crowd Supply.

Measuring just 120×70×70 mm and weighing 250 grams, Q8botOne is small enough to walk around on a desk. But don't let its size fool you. This little robot can run, jump, and carry twice its own weight. It also supports programmable gaits, making it useful for experimenting with locomotion algorithms and motion control.

To keep things as simple and neat as possible, Q8botOne has a wire-free construction. Instead of connecting the motors, batteries, and electronics with a maze of cables, everything interfaces directly with a central printed circuit board....
