Samsung Galaxy Users Report Battery Drain and Overheating After July 2026 Update

Samsung phones have lately been reporting battery drain and overheating issues after the July 2026 update. These complaints are mostly coming from Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra users. They are describing issues as faster-than-normal battery loss, warmer devices, and slower charging, all after installing the update.

Reports from Reddit, Samsung Community forums, and other discussion spaces are saying that the phones are losing about 5% to 7% of battery per hour even when the phone is kept idle most of the time during that period. One user said a device battery fell from 85% to 5% pretty quickly, and other users reported similar drops, as reported by PCMag.
