Samsung is officially turning your earlobes into prime audio real estate.
The company announced that its Galaxy Buds On will launch in the US on Nov. 6 for $229. Following an earlier debut in South Korea, the C-shaped earbuds clip around the outer ear and come in black.
Unlike traditional buds that plug into the canal or rely on active noise cancellation, the Buds On hook around the outer ear to keep listeners aware of traffic, conversations, and ambient sounds. That could appeal to commuters, office workers, and people who want to remain aware of their environment while listening to audio.
