Samsung 9100 Pro SSDs are on sale at Amazon, 1TB drive is back near its launch price
In context: While memory price hikes across the board are widely documented and are affecting numerous tech products, SSDs have not been the exception: NAND prices have climbed dramatically over the past year, pushing retail prices up by almost 200% in some cases. Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale is offering temporary relief on select products, including big discounts on Samsung's flagship 9100 Pro SSD that bring the lower-capacity models back to roughly their launch prices.
The 9100 Pro comes in four capacities: 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB. The 1TB model is currently $206, about 39% below its regular list price of $339. The 2TB model carries an even steeper 49% discount and is listed at $349, while the 4TB and 8TB variants are down to $750 and $2,280, respectively, roughly 45% and 16% off their list prices.
